Abdilah Abdilkadir Sheikh-Mursal

On January 16, 2026, officers with the Bloomington Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence (“the Residence”) located at 3XXX James Avenue North in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Officers arrived at the Residence and made entry. Inside of the Residence officers detained two adult males and one adult female. One of the adult males was identified as Abdilah Abdilkadir Sheikh-Mursal ([DOB redacted]) (“Defendant”). Officers learned that Defendant lived in the basement bedroom.

In Defendant’s bedroom officers located the following items: (1) a Glock 42 firearm; (2) a Glock 17 firearm; (3) a substance that weighed 197.15-grams and field-tested positive for Methamphetamine; (4) a substance that weighed 84.51-grams and field-tested positive for Methamphetamine; (5) a substance that weighed 368.53-grams and field-tested positive for Methamphetamine; (6) a substance that weighed 417.53-grams and field-tested positive for Methamphetamine; (7) 1359.74-grams of blue pills that were imprinted with M 30; (8) packaging materials; and (9) court paperwork in the name of Defendant.

One of the blues pills field-tested positive for Fentanyl. Methamphetamine and Fentanyl are both schedule-II controlled substances. In the furnace room, also located in the basement, officers found a firearm as well as a Feberis Pro signal jammer. In the detached garage, officers located the following items: (1) a Century Arms 9mm firearm; and (2) 47- lbs of a substance that field-tested positive for Khat. Khat contains Cathinone which is schedule-I controlled substance. Defendant has previously been convicted of the following crimes of violence which make him ineligible to possess a firearm: (1) Terroristic Threats based on ••-CR-••-••••; and (2) Third-Degree Drug Sale based on ••-CR-••-••••. Significant bail is requested to ensure public safety due to the extreme quantity of controlled substances, the various firearms that were located, and the signal jammer.
