On April 5, 2026 at approximately 12:51 A.M., a North Branch Police Officer observed a vehicle travelling southbound on Forest Blvd near the intersection of Main Street in the City of North Branch. The vehicle stopped and turned westbound on Main Street. The vehicle did not signal its turn in advance of turning westbound, only signaling as the vehicle turned. The Officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The Officer approached the vehicle and identified the female driver as NOU YANG. Yang stated she was coming from a person's house, identified as Zeronica Dayle Sjolie [DOB REDACTED], herein Defendant.
Law enforcement is aware Defendant commonly uses and sells drugs. Yang stated she had smoked methamphetamine with Defendant within the last few hours at Defendant's house. Yang stated she could feel the effects of the methamphetamine. Based on the information gathered during the DUI investigation, an Officer applied for and obtained a search warrant for Defendant's home, which is located at [ADDRESS REDACTED], City of North Branch, Chisago County Minnesota. At approximately 3:18 A.M., Officers executed the search warrant.
Upon arrival at the property, Officers spoke with Defendant, informing her of the search warrant. During a search of the property, a box of Winchester 12 gauge shotgun shells, which contained 13 shotshells, on an entertainment stand behind a couch. Defendant is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition, due to prior convictions. Defendant was convicted of felony controlled substance crime in fifth degree in Chisago County on 12/27/2021 (see court file 13-CR-21-411) and felony controlled substance crime in fifth degree in Chisago County on 02/11/2015 (see court file 13-CR-14-607).
