On September 22, 2025, at 12:03 P.M., officers with the Woodbury Police Department were dispatched to the Five Below store located at 8312 Tamarack Village in the city of Woodbury, Washington County, regarding a theft. The suspect was described as a white male wearing a black hat, gray/black sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, and carrying a black backpack with a water bottle hanging from it. Officers arrived in the area and searched for the suspect but were unable to locate him. Officer Hicke spoke with Five Below employee D. B., who stated the male suspect initially entered the store at 11:00 A.M., walked around, and left.
At approximately 11:46 A.M. The male returned to the store, walked behind the register, concealed the store's iPad under his arm, and exited. D. B. Reported the iPad is valued at approximately $1500. The Woodbury Police Department issued a BCA crime alert to other law enforcement agencies. On October 27, Roseville Police Detective Marston identified the suspect as DENIS NIKOLAYICH DOSHCHECHKIN, [DOB REDACTED]. DOSHCHECHKIN is known to the Roseville Police Department through their own cases. Officer Hicke viewed known photos of DOSHCHECHKIN and compared them with the surveillance footage from Five Below and determined he is the same person based on a specific tattoo on DOSHCHECHKIN'S left hand.
DOSHCHECHKIN'S current whereabouts are unknown. Minnesota Government Access lists two open cases for DOSHCHECHKIN, both of which indicate he is homeless and does not have a mailing address. Therefore, a warrant is requested at this time.
