On April 20, 2026, St. Paul police officers responded to 345 Wabasha, St. Paul, Ramsey County, on a report of a domestic assault. Officers met VDC, [DOB REDACTED], in the lobby. She was in distress and appeared to have been crying. She said that her boyfriend, Antonio Rivera, [DOB REDACTED], relapsed on methamphetamine. He was accusing her of cheating and demanding to see her phone. He physically tried to take it from her, and she resisted. He threatened to kill her, the children, and himself. She heard him on the phone asking someone to bring a “pole” (gun) to the apartment.
Officers saw Rivera getting off the elevator. They grabbed him and he resisted. He stopped resisting when he was fully handcuffed. He denied threatening VDC. Rivera has the following qualified domestic violence-related offense convictions, within the past 10 years: DANCO Violation (F), 25CR19143, 12/28/2020 Assault 5, 25CR19297, 12/28/2020 Assault 5, 82CR244059, 12/12/2024 Rivera also has prior convictions for Domestic Assault (F)(2013) (2011); Threats of Violence (x2)(2015) Investigators were unable to conduct a custodial interview as Rivera had been placed in segregation at the law enforcement center.
