On December 10, 2025, at approximately 13:56 hours. Minneapolis Police Department officers were called to [ADDRESS REDACTED], Minneapolis, Hennepin County, for a stabbing. Dispatched shared that the caller reported she had been stabbed by her husband in the upper leg. Upon arrival, officers met with Victim [NAME REDACTED] who was wincing in pain and holding her right thigh. Through the Language Line officers were told by Victim [NAME REDACTED] that her husband, Mokhtar Suliman Mohamoud, [DOB REDACTED] (now referred to as "DEFENDANT"), had arrived home after being gone for a few days and was demanding to have sex.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] stated that she was in the kitchen when DEFENDANT approached her and she told him "no." DEFENDANT then pushed her to the ground, got on top of her, and started punching her in her "stomach and all over" (it should be noted that Victim [NAME REDACTED] is 8 months pregnant). Victim [NAME REDACTED] stated that DEFENDANT then grabbed a knife and stabbed her twice in the leg. Victim [NAME REDACTED] screamed out of fear and pain, which caused DEFENDANT to get off from on top of her.
She was then able to run outside of the room and lock the door behind her and called 911. Victim [NAME REDACTED] remained in the home with her two young children until officers arrived. Officers observed the children were scared and one child said her "dad hurt her mom" and made a stabbing motion. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was transported to the hospital. Defendant was taken into custody and is currently in the Hennepin County Jail. A DANCO is requested.
