Your complainant is employed by the Metro Transit Police Department. In that capacity, complainant has reviewed official reports and has learned substantially the following: On 11/4/2025, at approximately 8:38 P.M., officers were dispatched to the report of a bus operator being assaulted aboard a bus at the Brooklyn Center Transit Hub located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] 10 in the City of Brooklyn Center, County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota. Upon arrival, Brooklyn Center Police Department officers located and detained the suspect, later identified as Russell Anthony Greyer, [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein.
Officer Stonehouse spoke with the bus operator, J. K. T. B., who stated that the defendant had entered the bus and his payment did not go through. J. K. T. B. Stated that the defendant appeared intoxicated and had an open bottle of alcohol in his possession. J. K. T. B. Stated that he spoke with the defendant, who immediately became hostile and began yelling at him. J. K. T. B. Stated that the defendant then physically attacked him and struck him multiple times with a closed fist. J. K. T. B. Stated that an unidentified bystander intervened and forced the defendant off of the bus.
Officer Stonehouse observed and photographed that J. K. T. B. Had injuries to his in the left temple, left eye, left cheek, and forehead from being assaulted by the defendant. The defendant was physically and verbally uncooperative with officers and was transported to the Hennepin County Jail. While in the back of Officer Stonehouse’s squad car, the defendant continued to be verbally hostile and spat on the interior door handles.
