A Rice County investigator shared still images of the suspects in Victim 1’s business. In one of the images, suspect 2 is wearing a blue backpack. The Scott County investigator stated a blue backpack was recovered from the scene of their attempted burglary and it appeared to be the same backpack. The Scott County investigator advised that two males were arrested fleeing from the scene: DE LOS SANTOS and VALENCIA. When arrested, VALENCIA was holding a phone with directions routed to a location on Nicollet Ave in Minneapolis.
The Scott County investigator shared images of the vehicle the two males were arrested in. It was a Cadillac Escalade truck style bearing MN plates SEK670. The vehicle is a unique style, and several parts of the vehicle stand out including a thin, long brake light near the top of the vehicle’s passenger compartment and a broken-out driver’s side tail lamp. Investigators received security camera footage from a homeowner across the street from Victim 1’s business. The footage shows a dark colored vehicle pass by at approximately 2:55 A.M. Traveling eastbound.
As the vehicle passes by, the brake lights illuminate, one of which is a long, thin light across the top. The brake light appears to match the vehicle DE LOS SANTOS and VALENCIA were in when located by law enforcement. Shortly after, two people dressed in dark clothing walk westbound towards Victim 1’s business. At approximately 3:13 A.M., two people dressed in dark clothing run eastbound away from Victim 1’s business. The owner of the pull tab machines, B. S., spoke with investigators and advised the amount of cash missing from the two machines was $3,090.00.
