On March 16, 2026, two males, later identified as Devonta Dominique Jones, [DOB REDACTED], and Amarjah Lezah-Anthony Lester, [DOB REDACTED], entered Dick’s Sporting Goods, 1595 Highway 36, Roseville, Ramsey County, together. They requested multiple pairs of shoes from a sales associate in the shoe department. They exited the store together without paying for the shoes, which were valued at $524.96. On March 26, 2026, Jones and Lester, along with two unidentified males, entered the shoe department at Dick’s. Again, they requested multiple pairs of shoes.
Again, they left the store together without paying for the shoes, which were valued at $824.94. On March 27, 2026, Jones and Lester returned to the shoe department at Dick’s. Again, they requested multiple pairs of shoes. Again, both males exited the store without paying for the shoes, which were valued at $603.95. These thefts are captured on surveillance video. The total loss to Dick’s is $1,953.65. On March 28, 2026, Roseville police officers learned that Jones and Lester had returned to Dick’s. Officer arrested and identified both men.
Jones declined a custodial interview. In a post-Miranda interview, Lester admitted that street friends approached him and offered to pay him for stealing shoes. He said that he and the others entered the store and took shoes without paying for the merchandise.
