On 12/6/2025, Deputies with the Anoka County Sheriff's office were dispatched to a location in the city of Andover, in the County of Anoka. Upon arrival, reporting witness, TAD and Alexus Marie Montgomery [DOB REDACTED], herein Defendant, were in an altercation. Upon separating the parties, Deputies began to take statements from each witness. TAD and Defendant are Domestic partners and live together. During the day Defendant began to repeatedly text TAD stating that he was cheating on her and that she was going to shoot herself in front of his workplace.
Defendant also threatened to take their child [NAME REDACTED] into her vehicle and drive off a bridge with them, and sent a photograph of the bridge. Defendant then drove a vehicle to TAD's place of work and waited for him to leave back to the location. Defendant then began passing TAD, repeatedly "brake checking" his vehicle. She would text "WATCH THIS" every time she would take a reckless action in the vehicle. TAD showed a video of this incident occurring as well as the text messages. In the shown video you can then see Defendant attempt to force TAD off the road.
TAD was able to lose Defendant shortly after. At the LOI Defendant parked diagonally in the garage of the home to block TAD being able to park inside. Defendant then locked the door to the house and garage. TAD was able to gain access to the home and came inside. At this time Defendant hid multiple sets of keys for the vehicles at the house. He was unable to locate them at first but found them in the bedroom inside a bathrobe pocket where Defendant attempted to conceal them. At this time a verbal argument ensued.
At this time Defendant grabbed a stone/clay vase and raised it above her head in a movement that TAD believed was an attempt to strike him over the head. This vase had significant weight to it and would cause harm if used to strike another person. At this time TAD pushed Defendant back. Defendant went to the kitchen and due to her threats of self harm and a history of pulling knives on him in other incidents TAD grabbed Defendant and held her arms to contain her until Deputies arrived. Defendant admitted to threatening TAD with the vase, following him and "break checking" him, she also showed deputies several videos of her screaming at TAD. Defendant has two prior qualifying convictions in ••-CR-••-•••• – HRO Violation 1/14/22 and ••-CR-••-•••• – HRO Violation 3/2/21.
