On 1/21/26, Ramsey County Deputies were dispatched to [ADDRESS REDACTED] (Aloma Apartments) in Shoreview, Ramsey County on a report of a theft from a vehicle. The Complainants, OB and RS, said that overnight someone stole about $700 worth of property from their vehicle that was parked in the underground parking lot. The stolen property included a snowboard and snow goggles. Deputies also spoke to a second victim, ZJ, who said that property, including a computer, valued at about $1,100 had been stolen from his vehicle.
Aloma complex CCTV showed that the two suspects arrived at about 0505 hours in a Ford Fusion displaying MN license plate DDY-557. The footage also showed that the vehicle’s driver used a tool to force open an exterior door. The RCSO Investigator spoke to the Ford Fusion’s owner, LO, who said the vehicle had been stolen by a Somali male named “ACE” at about 0430-0530 earlier that day. She reported the theft to the St. Paul Police, and ACE returned the vehicle at about 0735 hours. The value of the vehicle exceeded $5,000. According to LO, ACE was a friend of her boyfriend and his real name was something like Ali Abdullah or Abraham Abdullah.
LO also said that a male named “THADI” was with ACE when the vehicle was stolen and that THADI sent her a text message to that effect. LO provided THADI’s message to the Investigator. The Investigator showed LO the Aloma CCTV footage and LO positively identified the driver of the vehicle as “ACE” and the passenger as “THADI.” On 1/22/26, RCSO Deputies arrested Abdullahi Abdulkadir ALI [DOB REDACTED] at the Loden Apartments ([ADDRESS REDACTED]), which is directly next door to the Aloma Apartments.
There had been several reported thefts at that address recently. ALI was found sleeping in a stairwell, under the influence, and in possession of fentanyl. ALI was also in possession of property that had been reported stolen out a vehicle at that address. The RCSO Investigator reviewed BWC from ALI’s arrest on 1/22/26 and confirmed that ALI was the suspect whom LO had identified as “ACE.” In fact, when ALI was arrested on 1/22/26, he was wearing the same clothing he was wearing when he was burglarizing the Aloma Apartments.
LO confirmed that ALI was the person she knew as “ACE.” On 1/26/26, Eagan Police stopped a vehicle that had been stolen from an underground apartment parking ramp in Apple Valley. The vehicle was occupied by ALI and a second male whom they identified as Da'toistan Zaquia Royale POWE [DOB REDACTED]. In the vehicle police found several items that had been reported stolen from vehicles at the Loden Apartments ([ADDRESS REDACTED]). Dash cam video from 1/22/26 showed that POWE was present at the Loden Apartments on that date and that he was wearing the ski goggles that OB and RS had reported stolen from their vehicle at the Aloma Apartments the day before.
