Probable Cause
On 07/30/2025, St. Paul Police received a report from “AM” who said that on 7/29/25 at about 1118 hours, a package was delivered to her front doorstep at [ADDRESS REDACTED] in St. Paul, Ramsey County. Shortly thereafter, a red sedan drove up and a white middle aged woman with distinctive braided hair got out and ran up to door step. The female took the package, ran back to the sedan, and the vehicle drove off. AM provided police a doorbell photo of the suspect. The St. Paul Investigator issued an ATL in E-Brief in an to attempt to identify the suspect.
On 10-26-25 an Investigator with the Hennepin Co. Criminal Intelligence Division contacted the Investigator and said they analyzed the suspect’s photo using facial recognition and got a hit for Deanna Lynn HELLER (2-29-1972). The Investigator compared the photo provided by AM and HELLER’s booking photos. HELLER’s facial, ear structure, and other characteristics matched. In addition, in one booking photo, HELLER had a very distinctive braided hairstyle that matched the suspect’s. HELLER’s probation agent reviewed the images and acknowledged the resemblance between HELLER and the suspect.
HELLER is in custody for an unrelated matter. For purposes of Rule 6.02, HELLER has a pending Auto Theft case (RCAO #[PHONE REDACTED]).
