On August 24, 2025, at about 10:32 A.M., Officer Simonette of the Rochester Police Department responded to a theft from a vehicle. The complainant, an adult male identified in the police reports and herein referred to as the victim, [NAME REDACTED] had been broken into. His vehicle was parked in the driveway of his residence located in Rochester, Olmsted County, Minnesota. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was broken into sometime between 08/23/2025 at 4 pm and 08/24/2025 at 7 A.M. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was stolen from inside the vehicle.
The wallet contained three credit cards, one debit card, $40 cash, and his driver’s license. Victim stated multiple purchases were made on his credit cards at gas stations located in Rochester. The total purchase amounts were $317.86. Officer Simonette obtained surveillance videos from one of the gas stations. The videos showed the suspect at the counter purchasing what appeared to be a carton of cigarettes and exiting the store giving a clear shot of his face. The suspect is described as a white male, possibly mid 30's, brown facial hair wearing a black zip-up hoodie, black pants, black shoes, and a neon green hat.
Officer Simonette also obtained copies of the receipt specifying what the suspect purchased on the cards. The receipt showed the suspect purchased two 100 count boxes of Newport cigarettes and $50 gift card. Officers identified the suspect from the footage as Johnattan Joel Golderos Lopez ([DOB REDACTED]. Officers reviewed photographs of Golderos Lopez in police records and confirmed he matched the description of the suspect. FAILURE TO APPEAR FOR COURT IS A CRIMINAL OFFENSE AND MAY RESULT IN ADDITIONAL CRIMINAL CHARGES BEING IMPOSED AND PUNISHED AS PROVIDED IN MINNESOTA STATUTES SECTION 609.49.
