On November 15, 2025, Minneapolis police responded to a domestic abuse in progress at [ADDRESS REDACTED]east, Minneapolis, Hennepin County. Officers arrived and spoke with the reporting party, herein Victim, [NAME REDACTED], Tremeris Cornell Williams, herein DEFENDANT, had fled the address after assaulting her. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had strangled her and attempted to stab her with a knife. Officers observed red marks on both sides of Victim’s neck and bruising beginning to form on the left part of her stomach with a small red mark that had fresh blood.
During the assault, DEFENDANT struck Victim approximately 4 times on both sides of her head. DEFENDANT then grabbed a knife and attempted to stab her. Victim evaded the knife but then DEFENDANT began strangling her again and she lost consciousness. Victim eventually fought back to get DEFENDANT off her, and he fled the apartment. Victim [NAME REDACTED] is going to seriously injure or kill her. This above assault occurred in front of Victim’s two minor children and therefore the State will be filing a Blakely notice.
Your complainant notes an extensive history of domestic abuse between these two parties – two assaults in 2025 that were never charged and another case in 2023 where DEFENDANT was convicted of Threats of Violence and Gross Misdemeanor Domestic Assault (Case file 27-CR-23-23439). Another case, with incident date of October 7, 2025, is also being charged – the allegations are that DEFENDANT strangled Victim [NAME REDACTED]. DEFENDANT is currently out of custody. Given the seriousness of this offense, a warrant is requested.
