On May 2, 2026, at approximately 7:36 A.M., Woodbury police received a call from MAR, who reported that her friend, CHRISTIE RENEE ANDREWS – [DOB REDACTED], pulled a gun on her in St. Paul after an argument and was on her way to MAR’s residence in Woodbury to retrieve personal property. Police located ANDREWS’s vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Valley Creek Road over I-494. MAR told Woodbury police that ANDREWS went to her residence the previous day and left personal property there. MAR said she and ANDREWS went to a residence in St. Paul and spent the night.
That day, MAR stated that she and ANDREWS argued because ANDREWS wanted to pursue a romantic relationship again, but MAR did not. MAR reported that during the argument, ANDREWS pointed a black handgun at her and made comments that she would “shoot that b****” and referenced breaking into MAR’s house to get her property. MAR stated that she only wanted her house keys back, which were later confirmed to be at her residence on a table, and that she would not be pursuing charges against ANDREWS for the gun pointing incident in St. Paul.
ANDREWS provided a similar account of the event in St. Paul but denied pointing a gun at MAR. ANDREWS advised that the handgun was a broken pellet gun. On May 7, MAR called Ramsey County Dispatch to report the May 2 gun pointing incident. St. Paul police officers went to MAR’s residence, where she told them that she was in a sexual relationship with ANDREWS for approximately two months, and they broke up three years ago. MAR stated that she had not contacted ANDREWS since the breakup. On May 1, MAR and ANDREWS went to a friend’s house for a late night gathering.
On May 2, MAR stated that she and ANDREWS got into an argument regarding sex, and ANDREWS told MAR that she had her house key. During the argument, MAR reported that ANDREWS went to the trunk of her vehicle and produced a black handgun then pointed it at MAR. MAR played a recording of the argument where ANDREWS could be heard saying, “Don’t f****** play with me!”, “I will shoot the f*** out of you b****!”, “If I shoot, it will be self-defense!”, and “You know what happened to my ex. He is f****** dead.” When MAR went home, she observed that $80 had been stolen from her residence and her stolen key was on the table, so she believed ANDREWS had been in her home.
MAR called Woodbury Police, who detained ANDREWS. On May 12, MAR spoke with the investigator, who said that she got in contact with ANDREWS again after not having contact with her for a couple of years after their relationship ended. MAR said that she invited ANDREWS to stay with her for the weekend to hang out and catch up. When they went to MAR’s friend’s house in St. Paul, MAR got upset that ANDREWS was talking inappropriately about sex with her friends. MAR said the argument with ANDREWS went outside.
