The following is based on your complainant’s review of the reports of other officers and your complainant’s own investigation: On September 13, 2025, at about 4:00pm, Maplewood Police responded to Trails Edge Apartments, [ADDRESS REDACTED]., Maplewood, Ramsey County on a report of criminal damage to property. A manager there told them that a coffee maker and planter had been destroyed. Surveillance video was recovered. It shows a woman pulling up to the front entrance at about 2:45pm that day in a Chevrolet Traverse.
She enters the building and walks around the lobby while on the phone with someone who she refers to as “Jamal.” She then pulls a large coffee machine from a counter and knocks over a planter, shattering both. The manager said that she did not recognize the woman but that new residents had recently moved into [APT REDACTED]. The registered owner of the Traverse was found to be a resident of that apartment with the first name “Jamal.” The manager later told officers that he had shared that the driver of the Traverse at the time was the defendant, DIAMOND SIERRA SIMS ([DOB REDACTED]), the mother of his child.
The defendant was positively identified as the woman seen in the video damaging the items. Officers reached the defendant by phone. She told them she had been angry that afternoon because of threats from the girlfriend of her child’s father. When asked about the damage, she responded, “I can’t control my anger.” The cost to repair the coffee maker alone was determined to be more than $4,000.
