At around 4:14 PM on May 19, 2026, officers were sent to the area of Arcade Street and Case Avenue on a shooting. Officers found two spent 10mm casings in a parking lot near Sir Boxing at [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County. A witness reported a SUV fled the area after hitting a parked truck. Surveillance video showed the SUV was a silver Ford Explorer bearing Minnesota license plates SMP511. Officers located the Ford Explorer near its registered address after it had dropped off RGT [DOB REDACTED] at Regions Hospital.
Officers saw CS leaning into an open rear passenger seat as if looking for something. Officers detained CS and found a black handgun with a tan magazine on the floor behind the front passenger seat where CS had been leaning. The handgun had a Glock slide and a Polymer frame. RRG-S was outside the Explorer and fled from police when they arrived at the scene. Officers later recovered a Glock.40 caliber handgun along RRG-S’s flight path. RRG-S’s backpack contained an unloaded.40 caliber magazine, a partially loaded 9mm magazine, and a partially loaded extended 9mm magazine.
The Explorer had three bullet holes on driver’s side and blood stains on the steering wheel and in the backseat. Officers found an auto sear on the ground 3-5 feet away from the Explorer. The auto sear appeared to have blood on it. Officers were sent to the hospital after RGT showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his hand. RGT had been dropped off at the hospital by a silver Ford Explorer bearing Minnesota license plates SMP511. RGT told police he was driving “this girl’s car” while looking down at a phone when he heard shots.
RGT didn’t see who shot him or a firearm. RTG eventually admitted he was in the driver’s seat of his silver Ford Explorer when he was shot. RTG drove away, stopped, got in the backseat, and the girl drove him to the hospital. RTG was unable to tell officers where the shooting occurred or the name of the woman he was with. RTG denied knowledge of the two men who were located by his car or the recovered firearms. Officers spoke to people at Sir Boxing Gym. They people at the gym viewed a photo of Fretes and identified him as being at the gym before the shooting.
