Probable Cause
He arrived on scene and spoke to J. V. [DOB REDACTED], who reported that the mother of his children, BRITTNEY NICOLE MEIHOFER, [DOB REDACTED], the above-named defendant, had just punched him in the face while trying to interfere with a 911 call. J. V. Clarified that he and the Defendant were in a romantic relationship and had children in common but were not currently living together. They had gotten into an argument shortly before Officer Saliterman arrived on scene, and it resulted in the Defendant leaving the residence and going into the garage.
J. V. Explained he followed the Defendant and called 911 after seeing some of his property damages. While he was on the phone with 911, the Defendant punched his face in an effort to end get the phone away from him and end the 911 call. He reported he had told her he was talking to dispatch. A review of the Defendant’s criminal record shows two prior qualified domestic violence-related convictions: one conviction on January 11, 2016, for violating a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order in Court File Number 86-CR- 15-5655; and one other conviction of January 11, 2016 for Misdemeanor Domestic Assault in Court File Number 86-CR-15-5353.
