On March 1, 2026, at 4:27 A.M., deputies from the Wright County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence in the City of Albertville, Wright County, Minnesota, for a criminal sexual conduct offense. An adult male identified as E. W. Reported that Jared Kenneth Sprunk [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant, attempted to sexually assault an adult female, hereinafter Complainant, and was in a physical altercation with another adult male identified as T. A. Deputies arrived at the residence and located Defendant outside.
Defendant was bleeding from his nose and the back of his head. Defendant appeared highly intoxicated from alcohol. Complainant, [NAME REDACTED], and T. A. Were in the entryway of the residence. Complainant was crying and breathing quickly. Complainant provided a statement about the events that evening, including a disclosure that while in a bedroom Defendant took Complainant's pants down and put his penis in Complainant's vagina, despite Complainant telling Defendant to stop and trying to push Defendant away.
Deputy Loomis spoke with T. A., who was intoxicated. T. A. Reported the following: Defendant joined the group at the residence after Defendant met Complainant and A. S. At the 152 Club; At one point while at the residence, Defendant was in the kitchen and appeared to be drunk; Complainant and a juvenile male walked Defendant to a downstairs bedroom; Complainant stayed downstairs; T. A. Heard yelling; T. A. And E. W. Went downstairs; T. A. Saw Complainant run to the bathroom with no pants on but with underwear; Complainant said "he gotta go;" Defendant was wearing underwear; T. A. Was told that Defendant had been forcing himself on Complainant; Defendant could not get dressed due to his intoxication; T. A. Tried to help Defendant get dressed and told Defendant to get out of the residence, escorting Defendant up the stairs; T. A. Pushed Defendant and eventually hit Defendant after Defendant was coming at T. A. Deputy Willard spoke with A. S., who reported the following: A. S. And Complainant were at the 152 Club and met Defendant; Complainant was really into Defendant and wanted Defendant to come to the residence after they left the 152 Club; A. S. Did not want Defendant to come to the residence but eventually allowed Defendant to come to the residence; Defendant arrived at approximately 2:45 A.M.; Two of A. S.'s friends, E. W., and T. A., also came to the residence; Everyone was drinking and having a good time; At approximately 3:55 A.M., it was evident that Defendant was drunk; T. A. Told Defendant he needed to go to bed; Complainant had told A. S. That Complainant was not going to sleep with Defendant due to Defendant's intoxication; Defendant was brought downstairs to a bedroom and Complainant decided to stay with Defendant to help get him in bed; Complainant laid down and told A. S. To give her twenty minutes; A. S. Went back upstairs; After approximately ten minutes, A. S. Went to check on Complainant; A. S. Heard pounding on the door and wall; A. S. Opened the bedroom door; Complainant ran out of the bedroom; Complainant's pants and underwear were pulled down; Complainant ran to a nearby bathroom and was saying that Defendant needed to leave; Complainant told A. S. That Defendant called Complainant a b**** a couple of times and told Complainant to lay down with him; Complainant disclosed to A. S. That Complainant just wanted Defendant to go to sleep and Complainant told Defendant she was not going to have sex with him; Complainant also told A. S. That when she got up Defendant chased her, Complainant could not see as it was dark in the room, and Complainant could not find the door knob to open the door.
