Complainant is Maple Grove Police Department Detective Angie Sellman. Complainant states that officers received a report of a hit and run that occurred on January 21, 2025, at the Maple Grove Hospital in the city of Maple Grove, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The reporting party, K. V., stated that her SUV was parked in the parking lot on the north side of the Maple Grove Hospital. When she returned to her vehicle she observed significant damage on the passenger side and no note was left regarding the damage.
K. V. Followed up with the security office at the hospital, however they stated that they could not release any video without a warrant due to HIPPA restrictions, as the person was a patient there. K. V. Provided officers photographs of the damage to her vehicle. There was significant scraping and a dent on the passenger rear door of the vehicle that appeared consistent with vehicle to vehicle contact. Officers followed up with hospital security who advised they could not release the surveillance video without a warrant, but they were able to provide a license plate number.
Officers ran in inquiry on the license plate number and found it was registered to DEANNA DALE PULVER [DOB REDACTED]. Officers responded to PULVER's address and located her vehicle parked outside in front of her garage. PULVER's vehicle had damage to the front driver side consistent with a vehicle to vehicle accident. Officers took photographs of the damage and attempted to contact PULVER, but were unsuccessful. Officers called PULVER's number multiple times and left multiple voicemails over the next week and never got a response.
Investigators obtained a warrant for the video surveillance from the Maple Grove Hospital, however, initially they obtained the incorrect time of the video surveillance that did not depict any vehicle collision. A second warrant was obtained and the video surveillance was provided that showed the Maple Grove Hospital's parking lot and was timestamped on January 1, 2025, at 4:32pm. In the video, the PULVER's vehicle can be seen driving in the parking lot slowly. PULVER attempts to pull into a parking spot and has difficulty getting into it.
PULVER then attempts to get into the parking lot at a faster speed and ends up colliding with K. V.'s vehicle, forcefully causing K. V.'s vehicle to be pushed in the parking spot. PULVER then reverses and goes to park in a different location. At 4:37pm, PULVER gets out of her vehicle and checks her damage, and then enters the hospital. Investigators mailed PULVER a certified letter advising her to contact law enforcement and provide insurance information, however, PULVER never responded. Investigators obtained another search warrant for medical records from the Maple Grove Hospital and obtained records that showed that PULVER was a patient at Maple Grove Hospital on January 21, 2025, and checked into the emergency room at 4:45pm.
