On November 25, 2025, Chaska Police responded to a report of a "suspicious vehicle" at the Speedway Gas Station on Crystal Avenue, in the City of Chaska, County of Carver. The reporter stated the car had been parked for an hour with the motor running. Chaska Police Officers arrived at 11:10 P.M. And observed the female driver of a 2005 Buick LaCrosse was slumped in her driver's seat. In approaching the vehicle, officers noted small bottles of alcohol located on the center console. Officers knocked on the window, rousing the driver, identified as Stephanie Jean Robinson, and referred to as the Defendant.
When asked if she had been drinking the Defendant stated that she drank a beer the prior noon. The PBT results were.00. However, the Defendant stated that she had used illicit substances a while ago and would like to go to detox to obtain suboxone. She stated that she had slept at the gas station and was going to have her last drink and go. The Defendant did not give officers consent to search her car but officers noted a "straw with a white powdery substance on the end of it sitting on the center console." The Defendant voluntarily produced a broken drug pipe and straw from her back pocket.
Officers also noted that the Defendant had prior controlled substance convictions. Based on the foregoing, officers searched the Buick and seized drug paraphernalia, along with both tin foil and a plastic bag that field tested positive for methamphetamine. The estimated weight was.05 grams. The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension will conduct further determinative analysis. The Defendant was arrested on probable cause and transported to the Carver County Jail. At the jail, a glass drug pipe was seized from a glasses case under the Defendant's bra.
