Cloud Police Department were dispatched to speak to Victim, an adult female fully identified in the reports, regarding a sexual assault that had just occurred. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had been speaking through Snapchat with a man for several weeks, whom she knew as “Abdulahi.” Abdulahi was later identified through the investigation as Bashir Ahmed Abdulahi, [DOB REDACTED]. Victim [NAME REDACTED] told her they were going to get food, and he picked her up from her residence. Victim identified the vehicle by license plate and description.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] in the vehicle and started driving around, Abdulahi was touching her chest, inner thigh, and buttocks. Victim advised she kept moving his hand away and telling him to stop. Victim [NAME REDACTED] in the face twice and spit on her. Victim advised he also choked her with one hand to the point of not being able to breathe. Victim advised Abdulahi stopped the car and got out, opened the passenger door where she was seated, and forced her to engage in oral sex. Abdulahi ejaculated in her mouth, which she then spit out.
Abdulahi returned to the vehicle and digitally penetrated her anus. He drove a short distance and made her exit the vehicle so she had to walk home. Law enforcement obtained Victim’s assistance in traveling the path Abdulahi took her on, to the incident location. The incident location was identified as being in Southeast St. Cloud, Sherburne County, Minnesota. Victim participated in a SANE examination. Officer Vossen interviewed Abdulahi on September 2, 2025. Abdulahi first acknowledged driving the vehicle beginning around 8:00 PM, that he went to mosque, went to his aunt’s house.
Abdulahi denied knowing Victim and denied meeting up with anyone. After further questioning, Abdulahi acknowledged that he met up with someone, and then came home. He identified the person he met up with as a female that he met on Snap but did not know her name. Abdulahi acknowledged picking her up from her apartment, driving around, and then coming back. When asked what all they did, Abdulahi volunteered, “I didn’t hit anyone or anything.” After further questioning, Abdulahi acknowledged sexual contact, which he identified as “oral.” He also acknowledged putting his hands on her neck “one time.” Abdulahi stated the contact was consensual.
