Yeng Yang

On January 16, 2026, officers were traveling westbound on I-694 near Shingle Creek Parkway in the County of Hennepin. They noticed a black Acura RDX (Plate GNE468) weaving over the right fog line multiple times. Officers followed the vehicle and saw it continue to weave over the fog line. As it exited onto Brooklyn Blvd. They saw the vehicle drive onto the shoulder of the road. Officers initiated a traffic stop. Officers approached and spoke with the lone occupant of the vehicle, later identified as YENG YANG [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein.

Defendant displayed an inability to multitask while attempting to retrieve his insurance card; exhibited quick, jerky movements, and had difficulty with fine motor tasks such as opening and using a phone. In your Complainant's training and experience these are signs of impairment. Officers had Defendant participate in field-sobriety tests and observed multiple signs of impairment. Officers inquired as to when Defendant had last smoked methamphetamine, to which he replied that he had earlier that day.

Defendant rated his level of being "high" as a three out of ten. Officers arrested Defendant and searched his vehicle. In the vehicle officers found 1,082.30 grams of field- tested positive methamphetamine packaged in three large bags. They also found a loaded Taurus G3 9mm handgun. In your Complainant's training and experience this amount of narcotics is indicative of an intent to sell. Defendant does not have a valid permit to carry a firearm. Investigation is ongoing into Defendant's criminal history, and this Complaint may be amended.

Defendant is in custody in Hennepin County.
