07/24/2005 (20), violated the law as set forth herein. On February 8, 2026, at approximately 8:20 P.M., Alexandria Police Officer Uhl was on patrol in the City of Alexandria, MN, when she observed a vehicle displaying MN/FXC-062 traveling in front of her. After the driver appeared to notice the squad vehicle behind him, he accelerated at a high rate of speed. Ofc. Uhl activated her emergency lights and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle did not stop and accelerated to speeds more than 20 miles over the posted speed limit.
The vehicle turned onto Highway 29 northbound and reached speeds in excess of 90 mph. Due to the extreme speed, Ofc. Uhl discontinued pursuit out of safety concerns. Ofc. Uhl researched the vehicle and observed it was associated with Jayden Hamre. Ofc. Uhl went to Jayden’s residence and spoke with Jayden and his mother, Amanda Hamre. Ofc. Uhl showed them a picture of the suspect vehicle, an orange, two-toned BMW, and asked if they knew who owned it. Both denied knowing the owner, but stated they have seen the vehicle across the street on a number of occasions.
Ofc. Uhl later located a Facebook Marketplace photo of the vehicle where an individual named Caleb Anderson was selling the tires. Ofc. Uhl returned to Jayden’s residence and asked Jayden and Amanda if they knew this person. Jayden denied knowing him, but Amanda eventually stated her cousin has a son named Caleb Bolstad, aka CALEB JAMES BOLSTAD, [DOB REDACTED] (“Defendant”). Ofc. Uhl contacted the Defendant, and he agreed to provide a statement. The Defendant admitted to fleeing from Ofc. Uhl on February 8, 2026. The Defendant stated he fled because he did not have insurance and was scared he would be arrested if caught.
The Defendant stated he crashed the vehicle after fleeing and drove it to the Maple access. The vehicle was later located and towed by law enforcement. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: Pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 609.49, intentional failure to appear for duly scheduled court appearances may result in additional criminal charges in addition to any arrest warrant that may otherwise be issued by the Court.
