On April 20, 2025, law enforcement were dispatched to a gun pointing incident near E Bass Lake Rd and Hwy 169 in Plymouth, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Call notes stated that the reporting party was driving a blue Tesla and indicated that a white female in a red Envoy stopped in traffic, got out of her vehicle, and pointed a firearm at the reporting party. Upon arrival, law enforcement identified a known adult male as the reporting party and Victim herein. The female suspect was still present on scene and subsequently identified as JENNIFER KAYE HANNAMAN, Defendant herein.
Victim reported on scene that he had been driving behind Defendant's vehicle. Defendant was driving 40 mph in a 50 mph zone, so he was close behind her. He had not been following her for very long when Defendant stopped her car in the middle of a lane of traffic. Defendant proceeded to get out of the vehicle and ask why Victim was "riding her ass" and Victim [NAME REDACTED] was just following the flow of traffic. Defendant then said "don't f*** with me" and pulled out the firearm, pointing it directly at Victim.
Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Defendant then got back in her vehicle. Defendant admitted to possessing the firearm, which turned out to be a BB gun with no orange tip. It was located tucked in the map pocket in the back of Defendant's car. Defendant stated she carries it for "safety and road rage incidents." Victim's car captured the incident on video. Defendant can be seen taking what appeared to be a black firearm out of her vehicle, shouting at Victim, [NAME REDACTED] at Victim. Defendant is currently in custody.
