The following is based on your complainant’s review of the reports of other officers and your complainant’s own investigation: On November 12, 2025, at about 12:15pm, St. Paul Police responded to the area of Maryland Tobacco, [ADDRESS REDACTED]. E., St. Paul, Ramsey County on a report of assault with a knife. On arrival, officers met with ORT ([DOB REDACTED]). She said that a short time earlier, she and a friend were approached at the store by another friend, “Millie,” with whom she (ORT) has been arguing recently.
She said that the boyfriend of “Millie” is named “Tvarious.” “Millie” was later identified as the defendant, MILLIE FAYE HANNINEN ([DOB REDACTED]); in a court filing, the defendant in fact identified her boyfriend at the time of the incident as Tvarious Jackson (Case No. 62-DA- FA-26-135). ORT continued that the defendant yelled at and threatened her, grabbed a knife from a nearby vehicle, and backed her (ORT) against a wall. She said that the defendant then repeatedly tried to stab her while saying “I’m gonna kill you.” She said that she fought back and that others at the scene intervened as well, during which she received injuries.
The friend who had been with ORT spoke with officers as well. She said that the defendant had yelled at them in the store. She said that she then saw the defendant stab the knife close to ORT’s neck. Officers observed and photographed scratches to ORT’s knee from where she had fallen during the incident, as well as cuts and swelling to her lip. Surveillance video was recovered. It shows the defendant and ORT interacting in front of the store before the defendant goes to a vehicle in the parking lot.
After several minutes, the defendant rushes toward ORT, who backs then away. The defendant raises an arm (apparently holding the knife), ORT grabs the defendant’s wrist, and a struggle ensues during which they fall to the ground. In a follow up interview, ORT reiterated her statements at the scene. An investigator called the defendant and explained that he wanted to talk about an incident between her and ORT. She immediately hung up. The investigator called back several times and identified himself; each time she immediately hung up on him.
The defendant was adjudicated delinquent in September 2023 of Domestic Assault – Misdemeanor (Case No. 03-JV-23-38). She also pled guilty in June 2022 to Assault in the Fifth Degree – Misdemeanor in a separate case.
