On January 17, 2026, FRED EMANUEL HIGHTOWER [DOB REDACTED] went to Octapharma Plasma at [ADDRESS REDACTED] East, Maplewood, Ramsey County. Hightower caused a scene and his donor eligibility at that location was revoked. On January 18, 2026, Hightower returned to Octapharma Plasma at [ADDRESS REDACTED] East. Hightower was informed that he was no longer allowed at that location and told to leave. Hightower got upset and left. Hightower returned a short time later. Hightower walked up to KT [DOB REDACTED] at the front desk and began threatening KT. Surveillance video showed Hightower entered and appeared to be yelling.
Hightower approached the desk, reached into his pocket, and pulled out a pocketknife. Hightower opened the pocketknife blade in an aggressive manner. Hightower concealed the knife by his waist beneath the counter. Hightower swung the knife where KT’s hand was hitting and breaking a plastic sign. Hightower then left. Officers spoke to another employee, AK [DOB REDACTED], who was present during the incident. AK said KT told Hightower to leave. Hightower argued with KT. AK overheard Hightower yell, “First m*********** to step out this building imma stab your ass.
On my kids. And that b**** [AK] and [CT].” AK said Hightower had a knife in his hand when he made the threats. The incident made AK fearful, and she was afraid to leave work. AK explained that CT [DOB REDACTED] was another employee. CT told police she did not hear a specific threat—only a commotion at the front desk. CT was shaking and holding back tears when speaking to police. Officers searched the area, but they did not find Hightower. Hightower has 4 prior felony convictions: domestic assault, terroristic threats, a DANCO violation, burglary in the second degree.
