On April 27, 2026, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office was notified of threatening communication involving an Assistant Hennepin County Attorney, herein Victim. Victim informed deputies that someone from a blocked number had called her 20 times between 10:50 hours and 12:10 hours on April 24, 2026. Victim reported that on April 22, 2026, at approximately 16:15 hours, Brianna Clerk, [DOB redacted], herein DEFENDANT CLERK, dropped off documents at the government center for Victim. Front reception delivered the documents to Victim’s office.
Victim stated the documents pertained to Robert Teal, [DOB redacted], herein DEFENDANT TEAL, and DEFENDANT CLERK’S appeals decision regarding their parental rights. Victim had been the prosecutor who wrote the State’s appellant brief. Oral arguments were made on February 4, 2026, and the opinion was released March 16, 2026. The adoption of DEFENDANT CLERK and DEFENDANT TEAL’s child by another family member had been in process for approximately one month. On April 27, 2026, deputies received 10 forwarded emails from Victim.
The emails were sent from DEFENDANT CLERK and DEFENDANT TEAL on April 25 and April 26. The emails contained numerous profanities, vulgar language, mentions of lawsuits, and references to retaliations. Victim reported she also had five calls from a blocked number on April 25, 2026. One of the emails DEFENDANT TEAL sent Victim said that he would “brake ya’ll” and “ya’ll what muthfucka pay b****.” Victim reported the emails she received were unsettling, aggressive, and scary. Victim stated that DEFENDANT CLERK and DEFENDANT TEAL were going out of their way to contact her.
Victim described the emails as persistent and escalating. DEFENDANT CLERK and DEFENDANT TEAL had previously shown up at her office on April 14, 2026, and asked to speak with her. Victim stated this has happened several times. Below is a summary of the communications from DEFENDANT CLERK: • April 25, 2026 – 10:16 hours o DEFENDANT CLERK tells Victim she incorrectly stated DEFENDANT CLERK was in a domestic violence class and says she was only in a support group. DEFENDANT CLERK accused Victim of putting false information in her paperwork.
O DEFENDANT CLERK stated, “b**** keep my name out of you retarted ass mouth slow ass b****” • April 25, 2026 – 10:18 hours o DEFENDANT CLERK threatens to sue Victim by saying, “ima sue you b**** and embarrasse your uneducated ass b****” • April 25, 2026 – 10:48 hours o DEFENDANT CLERK tells Victim she has no right to speak about DEFENDANT CLERK’s relationship and that Victim’s statements about the relationship are untrue. • April 26, 2026 – 15:37 hours o DEFENDANT CLERK states, “and b**** keep my name out of your slow ass mouth b**** you don’t know how I am with my children b**** to be realistic only people who seen me with my children have the right to judge that not your b****” • April 28, 2026 – 10:07 hours o DEFENDANT CLERK says Victim lied about her claiming DEFENDANT TEAL injured a child.
