On December 23, 2025, law enforcement officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in Hopkins, Hennepin County, Minnesota on a report of a sexual assault to a child. Upon arrival, officers met with RW who reported her ex-boyfriend, KYLAN ANTHONY YOUNG [DOB REDACTED], sexually assaulted her 10- year-old daughter, identified herein by fictious initials ABC. RW reported the sexual assault occurred in the early morning hours that day. RW reported she invited YOUNG over to her residence in the evening hours of December 22, 2025. She believes he got to the apartment around 9:00-10:00 P.M. And he was intoxicated when he arrived.
She and YOUNG consumed additional alcoholic beverages together. RW woke up around 7 A.M. And saw ABC awake on the couch. ABC immediately told RW that YOUNG touched her. ABC told RW that she was sleeping on the couch when YOUNG picked up her blanket and she could feel something wet between her legs. She realized it was YOUNG’S fingers touching her vagina. ABC told YOUNG she was going to tell her mother. After learning about this from ABC, RW went into her bedroom and told YOUNG to leave and he did.
An officer spoke to ABC who indicated she was asleep on the couch when YOUNG came out of her mother’s bedroom and sat on a child’s sized chair in front of the couch. YOUNG then went under the covers and placed his hand on her thigh. ABC stated YOUNG’s fingers went inside her vagina. ABC believes only one finger penetrated her vagina. ABC felt YOUNG wipe a liquid substance inside her vagina that she believes was baby oil. Surveillance video from the apartment complex reveals YOUNG leaving the residence at 7:58 A.M. YOUNG was located and placed under arrest.
In a Mirandized statement, YOUNG denied touching ABC and denied being at the residence, in contradiction to the surveillance video. The age difference between YOUNG and ABC is 395 months. YOUNG is not currently in-custody. Given concerns for public safety, a WARRANT is requested.
