On February 1, 2025, Sergeant Sturm with the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office seized the cell phone of Andrew Lee Skjod [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant, in relation to a burglary investigation. The cell phone was seized from Defendant’s property at the Wright County Jail in the City of Buffalo, Wright County, Minnesota. Defendant resided in the City of Monticello, also in Wright County. A search warrant was executed on the phone on February 5, 2025. While previewing images stored on the phone in a folder labeled "Images," Sergeant Sturm observed images consistent with pornographic works involving minors, known as Child [NAME REDACTED], hereinafter CSAM, in current statutory language.

Sergeant Sturm obtained a second search warrant to continue to search for additional CSAM. Sergeant Sturm located four video files and many images of CSAM. The CSAM was sourced from a web browser called Microsoft Edge and accessed using an email address associated with Defendant, with a corresponding file path to a cached location. This indicates after viewing, Defendant deleted the images. Sergeant Sturm located cookies from sites named nudeteenphotoxxx.com, teenportnhdxxx.com, nudeteenlistxxx.com, teenagewhorestube.com, teenfkkporn.top, nastypetiteteens.com, and youngsexhot.com, as well as several others.

Sergeant Sturm also located CSAM related search terms including “Pedo-site CP Child Porn”, “child sex”, and “underage porn.” Charged items for this phone are as follows: (Count I) Image 1: Contains a NCMEC identified child victim. The video shows a fully nude pre-pubescent female approximately 5-7 years old, sitting on top of a fully nude male and engaging in sexual intercourse. (Count II) Image 2: The video shows a prepubescent female, approximately 4-6 years old, nude from the waist down. The female is on top of a fully nude male, whose erect penis is touching the child’s vagina. (Count III) Image 3: The video shows a fully nude, prepubescent female approximately 5-7 years old, performing oral sex on an adult male’s erect penis. (Count IV) Image 4: The video shows a prepubescent female approximately 4-5 years old performing oral sex on an adult male’s fully erect penis.
