On June 17, 2025, at 2052 hours, a Roseville police officer, driving a fully marked squad car, attempted to stop a motorcycle, 2001 blue Yamaha, MN 68206MK, at County Rd B and Fairview, Roseville, Ramsey County, for excessive noise, unreasonable acceleration, and speeding. The officer activated lights and sirens. The motorcycle accelerated away at a high speed and fled westbound County B, northbound Cleveland, northbound 35W, to westbound 694. For safety reasons, officers did not pursue. The registered owner of the vehicle stated that she sold the vehicle to Tyler Reed Salisbury, [DOB REDACTED]. Surveillance video showed Salisbury in the Winners Station off County Rd. B just before the fleeing incident.
He arrived on the motorcycle, purchased gas inside, and then left on the motorcycle. Clear video allowed investigators to see his face and distinctive tattoos. In a phone interview, Salisbury claimed that he owned the motorcycle for just one week. He said he sold it to purchase another motorcycle. He claimed a lack of memory as to when he owned the motorcycle and to whom he sold it. He generally denied fleeing from police on the motorcycle.
