On March 12, 2026, at 1715 hours, St. Paul police officers responded to fight at 1041 Sims, St. Paul, Ramsey County. Officers spoke to a juvenile, TMD, YOB: XX/XX/2009. He stated that his father, Jonathan Robert Davis, [DOB REDACTED], bit him and hit him with a stick. He had fresh blood seeping through his shirt near the collar bone. He exposed a fresh bleeding bite mark. He said his father also bit him on the nose and on his forehead. He reported that he was at his girlfriend’s house. He left in his mother’s car.
His father followed in another. His mother parked around the corner. His father exited his vehicle and approached their vehicle to fight. He said that he and his father started to fight. He said his dad started biting him and grabbing his neck. He said his dad also hit him with a stick. TMD suffered the bite mark, injuries to his lower lip, a red mark and swelling to the side of his left eye, scratches on the left side of his neck, bruising and a red mark at the base of his neck on the right side, a fresh scratch on the chin, and bruising and swelling to the nose near the piercing.
Davis left the scene before officers could arrive. Officers later reached him by phone. He said that they have been having trouble with TMD going to his girlfriend’s house without permission and doing poorly in school. He learned from TMD’s mother that TMD was at his girlfriend’s house without permission. He drove over there and saw TMD in his mother’s car. He got out of his vehicle and approached the other vehicle. He said TMD got out. They were “saying shit” to one another. He said he grabbed TMD’s arms to maintain control of him.
He denied a physical altercation. When confronted with the bite mark, he admitted that he may have bitten his son “in the midst of trying to keep hold.” He denied that he had any injuries. He agreed to meet in person with police but did not show up. Officers spoke to TMD’s mother who described the incident as a mutual fight with no clear aggressor. Davis has the following qualified domestic violence-related offense convictions: Domestic Assault (F), 05/23/2022, 82CR21505 Violation of Domestic Abuse No Contact Order, 10/02/2019, 62CR193477 He also has convictions for Possession of a Firearm by an Ineligible Person, 62CR211451, Aggravated Robbery, 62CR097043, Burglary 3rd Degree, 62K206000353.
