On 2/3/2006, Eden Prairie Police officers were dispatched to a report of threat to an apartment located on the 12000 block of Technology Drive in Eden Prairie, Hennepin County, Minnesota. The reporting party, a fully identified female, Victim herein, stated that her ex-boyfriend DEMETRIUS LARKINS JR [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, sent her threats to burn down her building. While enroute, officers received additional report from Victim [NAME REDACTED] was sending her pictures of firearms. Officers located a prior police report from 1/20/2026, where Defendant was arrested for domestic assault against Victim.
Defendant also had several warrants for his arrest. Upon arrival, officers located Victim who was visibly distressed and nervous. Victim’s hands were shaking while speaking with officers. She showed officers the text messages containing firearms. Officers observed a picture of a loaded Black Handgun appearing to be in a center console. Officers also observed a video of unidentified male handling loaded AR-15. Officers observed the following messages sent to Victim by Defendant: - “I’m finna set u back – to hell you will know true pain as I do.” - “I’m finna burn the world- u finna be f***** up.” - “When I catch y’all, y’all gone be damaged.” - “I promise before I die, I’m f****** s*** up.” Victim told officers that Defendant threats her and her friends constantly.
He sent her a message that he was going to burn down her building. Victim [NAME REDACTED] on his threats. She believed Defendant did not care about anything and is willing to die if it meant getting revenge on her. She believed Defendant has an anger disorder and when he uses drugs he gets into a psychosis. Officers located Defendant sitting in a vehicle in a nearby parking garage. Defendant was uncooperative and resisted being arrested. While enroute to jail, Defendant damaged the rear interior camera in the police squad tearing it off the mount including the wiring.
Defendant has the following qualifying convictions: - ••-CR-••-••••, felony domestic assault strangulation, adjudicated delinquent on 9/13/2019, and - ••-CR-••-••••, misdemeanor violation of domestic abuse no contact order, adjudicated delinquent on 9/13/2019.
