On March 22, 2026, at approximately 10:10 A.M., police responded to [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota. The caller reported that her mom’s boyfriend was fighting with her mom and hit her mom and stole her phone. Upon arrival, police made contact with VCR, who reported that she was upstairs talking on the phone with her ex-boyfriend, KEVIN AGUIRRE – [DOB REDACTED], when he arrived at her home and kicked and knocked at the front door. VCR said AGUIRRE went to the front window of the home and attempted to make entry into the home through the window.
VCR told AGUIRRE to leave. VCR described that AGUIRRE pulled himself up onto the ledge of the window with the upper half of his body in the house with the lower part of his body dangling on the outside of the home. While VCR was standing by the window, AGUIRRE grabbed and scratched her right forearm. VCR said AGUIRRE grabbed the purse around her neck and took her cell phone out of the purse then left with her phone. VCR reported that the phone was an iPhone 16 Plus that was purchased by AGUIRRE and given to her as a gift.
VCR said AGUIRRE was still making payments on the phone, and they used to be on a family plan together, but VCR later switched the phone over to her own phone plan. VCR told police that she dated AGUIRRE for two years, but they broke up in February. VCR reported that AGUIRRE lived with her at the residence for approximately a year and a half until she told him to move out in October 2025. Police also spoke with the 911 caller, DA, who is VCR’s daughter. DA said that she was in the living room on the main floor of the home when she heard her mother’s ex-boyfriend, AGUIRRE, kicking the front door and yelling at her mother through the phone.
DA reported that AGUIRRE went to the window and lifted the window and screen. DA told AGUIRRE that she was calling the police and to leave. DA said her mother came downstairs and argued with AGUIRRE through the open window. DA reported that AGUIRRE partially came through the window and appeared to strike her mother. Later, DA realized that AGUIRRE came through the window to grab the purse around her mother’s neck that contained a cell phone. DA said AGUIRRE left with the cell phone. Police responded to a previous call at VCR’s residence on February 28, 2026. VCR reported that AGUIRRE sent her text messages threatening to break into her home while she was out of town.
In a follow-up statement, VCR said she returned home at approximately 9:00 A.M. After being out the night before. VCR reported hearing some sort of commotion out near the street and saw AGUIRRE. VCR did not want to deal with him at that moment, so she went inside her house and locked the door. VCR said she went upstairs then heard commotion coming from the downstairs living room area. When she went downstairs, VCR saw AGUIRRE crawling through the window. VCR said DA and her boyfriend were arguing with AGUIRRE, so VCR put herself between them.
