On November 25, 2025, at approximately 6:02 A.M., Saint Paul Officers responded to Cub Foods, [ADDRESS REDACTED], Saint Paul, County of Ramsey, on a theft. Officer Morales arrived and met RM, Cub Foods General Manager. RM said he was working at the register when he noticed a male-later identified as JONATHAN ALEXANDER ROSE, [DOB REDACTED]-grab body wash and other items, place them in his jacket vest. ROSE walked past the registers and headed toward the exit door. RM approached ROSE at the guest services area, attempted to stop him, and told him to stop.
ROSE started fighting with RM. RM grabbed ROSE’s jacket. RM and ROSE pushed and shoved each other. ROSE punched RM on the left side of his face. RM said they were able to retrieve a Dove’s Body Wash and conditioner before ROSE left the store, total value $21.19. ROSE left the Cub Foods. RM had a small bump on the left side of his forehead, bruising on his inner left forearm, and he said his left eye was sore and irritated. RM said the guest service door was damaged during the incident. Officers saw ROSE at the bus station on Pedersen Street and arrested him.
After a Miranda advisory, ROSE spoke to an officer. ROSE said he was inside the Cub Foods to use the restroom. As he was exiting the store, he was approached by a staff member and security officer who both grabbed him and slammed him against the counter. ROSE said a body wash fell from him during the altercation. When asked if he purchased the body wash, ROSE said he did not leave the store.
