When officers arrived, the female paid for her meal with a $100 dollar bill and left shortly after. Denny’s employee later reported the $100 dollar bill was counterfeit. The bill contained the phrase, “For Motion Pictures Only.” The loss to Denny’s was $52.63. On March 7, 2026, Roseville Police were again dispatched to Denny’s because the female who used the counterfeit bill on March 6th returned to the business. An officer arrived and saw the female walking away from the Aldi’s parking lot. The officer activated emergency squad lights, exited his vehicle, and told the female to stop.
The officer placed a hand on the female’s shoulder. The female immediately threw herself to the ground. Another officer arrived and the female was handcuffed. The female verbally identified self as OLSON. OLSON had an outstanding Anoka County warrant. OLSON’s bag was searched. Inside her bag, she had five $100 dollars bills with the phrase “For Motion Pictures Only.” She also had one $50 bill, one $10 dollar bill, one $5 dollar bill, and a ripped $50 dollar bill. OLSON also had numerous debit and credit cards not in her name, and a Minnesota Identification card for KRF. OLSON said the bag was not hers.
After a Miranda advisory, OLSON denied being at Denny’s, and said she was last there a month prior. She then agreed that she was at Denny’s on this date. When asked what she bought at Denny’s the approximately fifty dollars the day prior, OLSON said coffee, but no food. OLSON said the counterfeit money was not hers. She said there is a person staying in a tent near Burger King who is handing out this money. OLSON also said some males stole her bag and returned it to her recently.
