On August 29, 2025, Detective Ohren of the Anoka County Sheriff's Office received a report from the Anoka Police Department of an escape from custody at the Anoka County Workhouse located at 3300 4th Avenue in the City and County of Anoka, Minnesota. Anoka Police Captain Schneider reported that on August 14, 2025, inmate Richard Robert David Allen Radoush [DOB REDACTED], the defendant herein, escaped the workhouse while outside on authorized break. The defendant was seen by workhouse staff wearing dark clothing and white tennis shoes walking towards the back of the break area behind the building towards the parking lot and then sprinting down the path heading towards 7th Ave and out of site.
Workhouse staff reported when all the other inmates returned after the brake, the defendant did not return. Captain Schneider reviewed the workhouse videos entitled "Dock Interior" for August 14, 2025, at 1:29:30 PM which shows the defendant, identified by distinctive tattoos on his neck, walking up the stairs and speaking with the Corrections Officer before walking outside. The defendant is wearing dark pants and shirt and white tennis shoes and is the only one in the group heading out on break with white shoes.
In the video portion entitled "Dock Exterior" at 1:38:52 PM shows an individual wearing white shoes walking to the southeast away from the other individuals. At 1:39:56 the individual then begins running and is seen intermittently running behind trees and then off the property towards 7th Avenue. On April 25, 2025, the defendant was sentenced to serve 365 days in the Anoka County Workhouse in Court File No. ••-CR-••-••••. The Defendant has allegedly violated the terms of his probation, and a warrant was issued on Anoka County District Court file number ••-CR-••-••••, and his whereabouts are currently unknown, therefore the Anoka Couty Attorney's Office request the Court issue a warrant complaint. “The State requests a body only complaint warrant in this matter and requests that the Defendant be held in custody until appropriate bail and conditions of release be set pursuant to Minn.
R. Crim. Pro 6.02, Subd. 1, to include the issuance of appropriate protective orders.
