On February 3, 2024, Detective Grimstad with the Wright County Sherriff’s Department was contacted by phone regarding a Court Order violation. HMG stated that she was contacted by someone named “Jessica Greathouse” on Facebook stating that HMG should resume her relationship with Matthew John Heurung [DOB REDACTED] hereinafter defendant. There is an active Harassment Restraining Order (“HRO”) under Court File No. ••-CR-••-•••• prohibiting defendant from having any contact with HMG, including third party contact or her residence.
Defendant was personally served with the HRO on 11-22-23. It should be noted HMG is a vulnerable adult. HMG told Detective Grimstad that she and defendant were in a relationship for about four years. HMG stated she ended the relationship on 9-21-23. The State relies on the following incidences to demonstrate defendant’s pattern of conduct that establish stalking or harassment behavior and/or instances: On October 9, 2023, HMG was contacted by an unknown individual by text, but she did not report the incident.
On October 30, 2023, HMG was contacted by an unknown phone number, but she did not report the incident. On November 3, 2023, defendant was charged with sending HMG dozens of text messages over 48 hours from four different phone numbers from defendant. Defendant admitted he kept changing the numbers because HMG kept blocking defendant. (••-CR-••-••••) On December 13, 2023, HMG was contacted by two phone numbers by text. One of these numbers was 320-262-****. On December 17, 2023, HMG started receiving messages from “Jessica Greathouse” through Facebook Messenger.
On December 30, 2023, HMG received two Facebook messages from “Jessica Greathouse.” On January 4, 2024, HMG received at least two Facebook messages from “Jessica Greathouse.” On January 5, 2024, HMG stated defendant was at a St. Joeseph bar and he was telling people that she was a meth user. A bartender had messaged HMG telling her that defendant was slandering her name. On February 3,2024, HMG was contacted again through Facebook Messenger. HMG also received text messages from an unknown phone number.
On February 24, 2024, and March 3, 2024, an unknown male called Arby’s in Buffalo and asked if HMG worked at the restaurant and what time her shifts were. It should be noted that HMG’s mother works at Arby’s in Buffalo. On March 28, 2024, HMG received a phone call from 320-291-****. HMG said that between 7:00 and 7:30 pm, HMG received a phone call from a “Spam Risk” and did not answer it. HMG called it back and a male answered. She believed this male was her father by the sound of his voice. A second male immediately took the phone and 3 ••-CR-••-•••• Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 11/17/2025 stated that he “should not be talking to her" but that she "needed to come home, you’re not safe, I love you and miss you.” HMG stated that this male sounded like defendant.
