On May 28, 2025, at approximately 7:07 P.M., law enforcement was dispatched to the St. Cloud Hospital in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota on a report of a patient threatening staff, C. G. L. And R. M. T. (fully identified in police reports). The patient was identified as Christopher Reed Braun, [DOB redacted], the defendant herein. Defendant was intoxicated and brought to the hospital by law enforcement earlier that evening. R. M. T. Indicated she was in the behavioral health room with Defendant one on one.
He was yelling and said he was "going to remember [her] face" and kill her. He also said he would remember her voice and scent and would kill her. R. M. T. Stated Defendant's words made her afraid. C. G. L. Stated he saw Defendant in the behavioral health unit being verbally aggressive and getting in the faces of nurses. C. G. L. Stated he saw Defendant was about to fall. When he went to assist, Defendant became more even more combative. Staff ultimately determined Defendant needed to be placed in a restraint chair.
While placing Defendant in the chair, Defendant stated "I will remember your face" and said he was going to "hunt down and kill him." Defendant also threatened another nurse, with very similar threats. C. G. L. Stated if Defendant had not been in the restraint chair, Defendant would have acted physically towards them. J. C. U. (fully identified in police reports), indicated he observed Defendant in the behavioral health room and acting agitated. He stated he tried to talk to Defendant. Defendant then started punching his chest and stating "let's f****** go." Defendant was placed in a restraint chair.
Afterwards, Defendant stated towards C. G. L. He was going to remember his face and that he would "hunt him and kill him." Surveillance video shows Defendant yelling and being uncooperative towards staff. He is heard saying "I will kill you." Complainant has reason to believe and does believe that all of the above information is true and correct. The above facts constitute your complainant's basis for believing that the above-named defendant, on or about the 28th day of May, 2025, in the City of St. Cloud, County of Stearns, State of Minnesota, committed the offenses described herein.
