On December 22, 2025, at approximately 2:01 A.M., Minnesota State Patrol troopers observed a vehicle enter westbound Interstate 94 at 53rd Avenue in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Troopers used radar to measure the vehicle's speed at approximately 107 miles per hour. Based on the speed of the vehicle, troopers activated their emergency lights to affect a traffic stop on the vehicle. The vehicle activated its signal and appeared to be moving to the side of the road. Prior to slowing to a stop, the vehicle turned off its signal and fled from the trooper at a high rate of speed.
Troopers discontinued pursuit for safety reasons. Troopers looked up the vehicle's license plate number and traveled to the address listed for the registered owner. While waiting at said address, troopers again observed the vehicle traveling towards their location. Troopers blocked the vehicle's path of travel and made contact with the driver, identified as CASONE DELONAE WALKER, [DOB REDACTED], hereinafter Defendant. In a post Miranda statement, Defendant noted that he was going to stop but had a previous incident of speeding and would get in trouble if he were to get caught again.
Defendant is currently in custody. The State respectfully requests this complaint issue via Order of Detention.
