That in September 2025, officers initiated an investigation into narcotics trafficking by SHERMAN ANTONIO NELSON, hereafter defendant. This investigation included surveillance and controlled buys of narcotics from defendant. During the investigation, officers determined defendant was associated with multiple addresses, including 4911 West 77th Street, #229, in Edina, Hennepin County, Minnesota, and [ADDRESS REDACTED], #216, in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota. Officers obtained search warrants to search both of these residences for narcotics.

The warrants were executed on November 20, 2025. During execution of the search warrants, officers recovered the following: 1. From the Edina residence: - 1,037.38 grams of a substance that NIK tested positive as cocaine; - 5,712.46 grams of a substance that NIK tested positive as fentanyl; - Approximately 25 grams of a substance that NIK tested positive as heroin; and - Documents and writings bearings defendant's name. 2. From the Minneapolis residence: - 1,068.64 grams of a substance that NIK tested positive as cocaine; - 11.11 grams of a substance that NIK tested positive as fentanyl; - 68.18 grams of a substance that NIK tested positive as heroin; and - Documents and writings bearing defendant's name.

Officers located and arrested defendant. Defendant was found to be in possession of $4,643.00 in U. S. Currency, some of which was identified as pre-recorded buy money officers used during earlier controlled buys of narcotics from defendant. During a post-Miranda statement, defendant admitted selling fentanyl. Officers aver that the amount of controlled substances recovered from defendant at the above-listed residences is consistent with possession with intent to sell. At present, defendant is in custody.
