On January 7, 2024, around 10:23 A.M., law enforcement was dispatched to a residence located on the 17200 block of Bison Street NW, Ramsey, Anoka County, on a report of a burglary at the residence. The reporting party and resident, K. K., told law enforcement that the residence had been unoccupied for several months after it got struck by lighting and no one should be living in the home. However, K. K. Reported that there were fresh bicycle tracks leading from the road up to the driveway and footprints in the snow leading into the residence.
The footprints were for someone with a size 9.5 to 10 shoe. It had snowed the night before into the early morning. The garage door of the residence was halfway open and the door inside the garage going into the home was open. K. K. Reported missing two generators, a TV, and jewelry. He also noticed a golf club had been left at the residence that was not his. Law enforcement took DNA from the handle of the golf club. A CODIS hit came back for the DNA to Paul John Grady [DOB REDACTED], defendant herein.
Law enforcement executed a search warrant on defendant’s phone and found defendant in the area of the residence on January 6, 2024, and again on January 7, 2024. In a statement from defendant to law enforcement, defendant claims he was not in Ramsey, MN, on those days and that he would have no reason to be in that area. He also stated he had a size 10 shoe size. Although law enforcement has been able to contact defendant via phone, the defendant does not have a permanent residence and his whereabouts are unknown.
