On September 6, 2024, Behind Bars Bicycle Shop filed an online report with the Minneapolis Police Department regarding a bicycle theft from their shop at 208 13th Avenue NE in Minneapolis, Hennepin County. The business reported that a person came in to test-ride a bicycle and took one for a ride but never returned. The suspect that took the bicycle provided an Arizona ID that looked like the suspect. On September 16, 2024, a sergeant with the Minneapolis Police Department was monitoring the leads online pawn system when a transaction matched the online theft report.
The suspect that pawned the bicycle matched the suspect from the theft report. On February 25, 2026, a sergeant was assigned to this case for investigation and reviewed the reports filed. The attached transaction in the leads online pawn system matched the details of the bike theft and the suspect matched the individual who pawned the bicycle. The name on the Arizona ID identified him as TRAIVON NICHOLES FITZPATRICK ([DOB REDACTED]), Defendant herein. The value of the stolen bicycle was $1,600. At present, Defendant is not in custody.
