On 12/26/2025 at about 1840 hours, St. Paul Police saw a 2006 Black BMW 525 (MN/LMM752) pull out onto Lexington from Sherburne Ave in St. Paul, Ramsey County. The vehicle did not have any taillights illuminated. A check of the vehicle’s license plate revealed that there was an active a KOPS alert for the vehicle and its registered owner; Kayden Tarrek OCASIO [DOB REDACTED] for Misdemeanor Domestic Assault. Police followed the BMW to [ADDRESS REDACTED] where it stopped. The officer activated the squad’s emergency lights, initiated a felony stop, and ordered the driver to turn the vehicle off.
A passenger exited the vehicle, but then the driver drove off and fled east on Sherburne. The passenger said he knew the male driver as “KO.” The BMW traveled a short distance, but the driver lost control and got stuck in the snow in the alleyway of Sherburn Ave and University Ave. There, assisting squads took the driver, OCASIO, into custody. During a search of the BMW, police found a backpack containing about 24 bags of suspected marijuana. OCASIO is on probation.
