On April 12, 2026, at approximately 3:00 AM, officers from the Fridley Police Department were dispatched to an apartment complex, located at [ADDRESS REDACTED] NE, city of Fridley, county of Anoka, Minnesota, for a reported domestic assault. Prior to arrival, officers received dispatch notes which stated that a male came at the female with a knife and the male had just left the apartment complex in a Honda Civic. While en route to the apartment complex, officers located the Honda Civic, and placed the driver, Caleb Donovan Blatcher [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, under arrest.
Officers then responded to the apartment complex and met with the reporting party, A. L. T., Victim herein. Victim reported that a verbal altercation had begun over their new dog. During the verbal altercation, Defendant slapped Victim under the chin and then later pulled her hair while she was on the bed. Victim [NAME REDACTED] one point Defendant grabbed a knife and threatened to kill himself with it, left the apartment, came back to the apartment, and then threatened Victim [NAME REDACTED]. Victim [NAME REDACTED] had the knife in an overhand grip and had her in a chokehold.
Victim reported that this made her fearful for her safety. Victim [NAME REDACTED], which appeared to be tossed on the stove. The knife was a large kitchen knife with a black handle.
