On March 25, 2026, Coon Rapids Police were dispatched to the InTown Suites in Coon Rapids, Anoka County, on a report of a domestic assault. At the scene, K. S. Was distraught and crying, and had bruises on the right side of her face, along with a red imprint where her glasses had struck her. She reported that her boyfriend, Defendant Cullen Wade Brevig ([DOB REDACTED]), had gotten intoxicated and was being disrespectful, including calling her names, while they were running errands. K. S. Was driving and went into Walmart while Defendant stayed in the car.
When K. S. Returned, Defendant continued to call her names and insult her. When they returned to the InTown Suites, K. S. Parked and Defendant then punched her three or four times in the face. K. S. Stated that this came out of the blue and she was not expecting it. The bruising on the right side of K. S.'s face corroborated that she had been driving and Defendant was in the passenger seat. Law enforcement took Defendant into custody. During the arrest process, Defendant claimed that he had been asleep and had no idea how K. S. Was injured.
Defendant has two recent prior convictions for domestic assault, both in 2022.
