On April 14, 2026, officers were sent to the Radisson at [ADDRESS REDACTED], St. Paul, Ramsey County on a domestic assault. Officers spoke to JL [DOB REDACTED] who explained she was at the hotel with family for her father’s memorial. They were taking photos when an uncle pulled JL in close. JL told her uncle to let her go, but he didn’t react or respond. JL told her uncle to let her go a second time, and she then pushed him with her right hand. JL’s other uncle, AARON STACY PRYOR [DOB REDACTED], grabbed her, wrapped both of his arms around her neck, and choked her.
Pryor lifted JL in the air when he choked her. Family tried to get Pryor off JL by prying his arms from her. Pryor left right after JL’s family intervened. JL told police Pryor had physically abused her in the past. JL told police she was lightheaded from being strangled. JL was unable to speak, breathe, or scream when being strangled. JL had marks on her neck. JL said she lost control of her bladder when being strangled. JL fears for her life, and said she was really scared by the incident. Surveillance video corroborated JL’s version of events.
On February 27, 2026, Pryor received a departure on a felon in possession of ammunition charge in Ramsey County District Court file ••-CR-••-••••. On March 26, 2026, Pryor was sentenced on a misdemeanor DANCO violation in Dakota County District Court file 19WS-CR-25-296. The case involved a different victim. Pryor has prior felony convictions for armed robbery and aggravated robbery in the first degree.
