On December 24, 2025, law enforcement responded to a business located in the 600 block of Saint Germain Street West, St. Cloud, Stearns County, Minnesota. The owner contacted law enforcement after watching two individuals enter the store while it was closed. Law enforcement went to the store and located Nikolaus James LeBrasseur, [DOB REDACTED], Defendant herein, inside the store with a female. The owner told law enforcement he observed Defendant taking a rolling cart to the back of the store and the female try several items of clothing on.
In a statement to law enforcement, Defendant stated he entered the store and observed no employees were present. Defendant decided to open the store and attempt to sell items for the owner, whom he did not know. Defendant located several items he wanted to purchase from the store but they were too expensive so he planed to sell items in exchange for the ones he wanted for himself. While inside the store, Defendant and the female took a can of soda and split it. When law enforcement arrived, Defendant was in possession of keys for the store, a signet ring with a dragon on it, and a necklace.
These items were also taken by Defendant after he entered the closed business without the owner's permission. Defendant also stated he used methamphetamine earlier in the morning. Further investigation revealed Defendant made several representations to the female with him that he potentially worked at the store or was connected to the owner in some way. Complainant has reason to believe and does believe that the above information is true and correct. The above facts constitute your complainant's basis for believing that the above-named defendant, on or about December 24, 2025, in Stearns County, Minnesota, committed the offense described herein.
