On 6/15/2026 at approximately 15:06 hours officers were dispatched to a shooting in the area of [ADDRESS REDACTED] in Brooklyn Park, Hennepin County, MN. Dispatch received numerous calls of multiple shooters and gunshots. Upon arrival, officers spoke with witnesses and determined no one had been shot, but there were multiple suspects that had fled the scene in multiple vehicles. Officers learned from Witness TW that an incident had happened earlier in New Hope involving her brother, Voshon Washington Ware, [DOB REDACTED] and Mercedes Winter Davis, [DOB REDACTED]. Witness TW stated Mercedes Davis had pointed a gun at people and took a watch and bracelet from Voshon Ware.
Voshon Ware later left the New Hope address and traveled to Brooklyn Park with their shared child [NAME REDACTED] at her grandmother's address (Lucille Gillmore). Mercedes Davis then arrived later at the address in Brooklyn Park with 3-4 other females and shot at the address. Multiple other witnesses in the Brooklyn Park address confirmed multiple vehicles pulled up to the house with multiple females and the occupants fired approximately 7-8 shots. Officers also made contact with Lucille Gillmore (aka Baugh), [DOB REDACTED], who stated that her son, Voshon Ware, had been having a disagreement with Mercedes Davis and when they were together earlier, she had observed Mercedes Davis pull a handgun on Voshon Ware.
After returning to her home in Brooklyn Park, at approximately 15:00 hours, she heard a commotion outside of her address and looked outside to see a vehicle with two females hanging outside of it. She identified the females as Mercedes Davis and her twin sister (who identifies as male, later identified as Ivy Me'shell Davis, [DOB REDACTED]). She stated the twin (Ivy) pointed a black handgun at her and fired several times. She believes she was the target of the gunfire. She stated Vonshon Ware then came outside with a long gun and started firing at Ivy Davis.
The female was seen jumping into a black sedan and then exiting to enter a Mercedes driven by Mercedes Davis and left the scene. Voshon then also left in a Cadillac, bringing the long gun with. Mercedes Davis was later spoken with, and she confirmed going to the Brooklyn Park address to get her belongings and stepdaughter. She stated Lucille Gillmore and Voshon Ware both exited the home and started firing and her vehicle. She stated Lucille shot approximately three time at the vehicle they were in.
There was a child present in the vehicle as this occurred. Mercedes Davis confirms firing back at Lucille Gillmore and Voshon Ware. She also confirmed her sisters, 2 ••-CR-26-••••• Filed in District Court State of Minnesota 6/17/2026 Ivy, Laroyia, and Diamond were all there as well when the shooting occurred. Laroyia Davis, Ivy Davis, and Diamond Davis were taken into custody when they later returned to the area. During Miranda statements Laroyia explained she went with Mercedes to pick up her kids at the Brooklyn Park address.
