On June 23, 2025, law enforcement officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota on a call for help. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a female identified as K. W. She called to officers through her window and told them she had been beaten by her ex-boyfriend. He was subsequently identified as JESTIN DEMITCHELL DAVIS [DOB REDACTED]. She reported he fled through the back of the residence. Other residents came out of their units and told officers that this is an ongoing issue with DAVIS. K. W. Reported that over the last day, DAVIS has beaten her multiple times, to include punching her in the face, kicking and stomping on her and strangling her.
Officers observed multiple bruises throughout her body. While DAVIS was strangling K. W., she reported seeing “stars” and urinating herself. She also reported she lost consciousness. K. W. Reported DAVIS struck her in the head with a firearm. She showed officers where the firearm was located inside the bedroom. A Springfield 40 caliber firearm was located in the bedroom on a shelf. It was collected as evidence. DAVIS is currently in-custody. A warrant is therefore requested.
