On October 31, 2025, Officers were dispatched to a residence in Mankato, in Blue Earth County for a report of an assault. Victim reported to dispatch that he was just attacked in his residence by two males wearing all black with face masks on. Victim stated, “Sadik” referring to Sadiq Abdi Mohamed is the suspect he recognized but left the scene. Officer Calleigh Cogswell, and Officer Bohdan arrived on scene and made contact the Victim. Victim was out of breath and stated he felt like he needed to throw up.
Officers inspected Victim’s bedroom, which is right next to the front door. Victim’s bedroom was in disarray. Victim’s television in his bedroom had a crack in it. Victim [NAME REDACTED] was in his bedroom and noticed there were two individuals in his room wearing all black with face masks and had baseball bats. The suspects hit Victim with the bats multiple times. Victim was able to pull down the mask of one of the individuals and recognized the male to be Sadiq Mohamed. Victim [NAME REDACTED] from prior encounters where Sadiq Mohamed “beat his ass” a few months ago.
Victim [NAME REDACTED] had $470 on his bed earlier, but it was now gone. Victim stated that the front door was unlocked. Officer Cook observed a blue baseball bat in victim’s closet. Officers checked the rest of the residence and observed that the backdoor of the residence was wide open. Victim stated the two males left out the back. One of Victim’s roommate, Witness 1 stated he may have heard something approximately 30 mins prior to law enforcement arrival. Officer Cook provided Victim with a photo of Sadiq Abdi Mohamed, and Victim [NAME REDACTED] one of the males that attacked him.
